Nikolai Leokov never thought he'd fall in love with the only girl he's ever befriended.
Valentina Tomic has issues with commitment after the ultimate betrayal.
When Tina decides to make broody Nik's day better, she never thought she would end up friends with the hard man.
Nik has never had a woman be so affectionate to him without expecting something in return.
Nik and Tina cordially invite you to read Friend-zoned.
A story of friendship, humour and love.
BTW I totally pictured Max and Val from Dancing With The Stars while reading this book. Those boys are delicious and more books need to be written with them in mind. Thank you Ms. Aurora for allowing me that mental image while I read.
Every now and then you read a book that although maybe not be perfect, is perfect for you. That’s what Friend-zoned was for me.
Finally a book where sexual tension drove the story. There was no falling instantly into bed. No cornering someone up against the wall. No I love you’s 3 days into the relationship. Nope this was about friends. And not just Tina and Nik’s friendship. No we’re introduced to several characters. Trust me when I say you’ll love them all. You will! They were honest and believable and you really felt like you were hanging out with them whenever they were together.
Ultimately, this story is about Tina and Nik and their friendship. Neither wanted anything more and I was ok with that. It was so refreshing. The way the two of them interacted was word porn at its best. I was salivating for more no I was panting for more LOL. I devoured this book. I knew there was a very
good strong possibility they would end up together but I didn’t care it was the journey for me.
I could complain about some things because there were some editing issues and some of the internal dialogue had me rolling my eyes. But it was so easy to overlook all of that because the guts of the story was so great. Anyway I’d rather talk about the stuff that made me laugh.
Nik of course was delicious. Well I’m assuming by Tina’s description of him he was quite tasty and easy on the eyes. The fact that she called him Mr. Beautiful helped.
“Not many men could pull off looking manly in lilac. But he’s just that awesome.”
Nat (Tina’s best friend) was pretty great too and she had some good lines.
“Oh my God, my mouth just had a freaking orgasm.”
Then there was Ghost. I cannot wait to read his book! Ghost and Nik…
“He laughs and teases me, “You’re pussy whipped.”
I claim, “I can’t be pussy whipped. I haven’t even had the pussy to be whipped!” Take that, Ghost! Oh, wait…
He chuckles, “That’s even worse, bro.”
Fuck me, it totally is.”
And Tina on Nik….
“When I mention the last bit, I feel Nik’s body stiffen so solid I’m sure he’s turned to bronze. Nik would look great as a bronzed statue.”
This book reminded me of Kristen Ashley whom I’m not embarrassed to say that I love and want to marry. It’s a huge compliment to be compared to KA as far as I’m concerned.
I can’t wait to read more of Ms. Aurora’s writing.
