Right now, you’re probably asking yourself two things:
Who am I?
And, what the hell are you doing here?
Let’s start with the most obvious question, shall we?
You’re here, ladies, because you can’t f*ck.
Oh, stop it. Don’t cringe. No one under the age of 80 clutches their pearls.
You might as well get used to it, because for the next six weeks, you’re going to hear that word
a lot. And you’re going to say it a lot.
Go ahead, try it out on your tongue.
Ok, good. Now where were we?
If you enrolled yourself in this program then you are wholly aware that you’re a lousy lay. Good
for you. Admitting it is half the battle.
For those of you that have been sent here by your husband or significant other, dry your tears
and get over it. You’ve been given a gift, ladies. The gift of mind-blowing, wall-climbing, multiple-
orgasm-inducing sex. You have the opportunity to f*ck like a porn star. And I guarantee, you will
when I’m done with you.
And who am I?
Well, for the next six weeks, I will be your lover, your teacher, your best friend, and your worst
enemy. Your every-f*cking-thing. I’m the one who is going to save your relationship and your
I am Justice Drake.
And I turn housewives into whores.
S.L. Jennings where have you been all my life?
When I first saw the cover for Taint floating around the Facebook, I remember thinking to myself “OMG who is that man?” and then I found out it was Mike Thurston. So of course I started stalking him only to quickly realize he’s British that righter totally elevated his hottness. Cause come on accents are all the rage right now. Am I right? But I digress…
I eventually circled back around and found myself on goodreads reading the synopsis. Justice Drake hmmmm….I let it roll around on my tongue and it felt good. I kept looking at the cover thinking about what it would be like to spend 6 weeks having HIM teach me a thing or two about sex. I absolutely did and I just as quickly added it my book shelf. Sadly I strolled back to my ever growing pile of books waiting on me.
Fast forward to 2015 when that cover pops up yet again taunting me. And lo and behold there’s a tour. I can actually obligate myself to read the book. Justice Drake was penciled in. Red ink of course.
Justice Drake teaches women to have sex with their husbands. He takes beautiful, not so beautiful, big, small, loud, quiet, pretentious, humble, it doesn’t matter the woman, and spends 6 weeks showing them how to be sexy, how to enjoy sex, how to see themselves like men do, how to embrace their inner hussy. Throw in that he’s gorgeous, oozing sex from his pores, and we have a very interesting premise indeed.
I won’t lie, I was appalled at first. Worried that Mrs. Jennings was sending the wrong message. Our husbands cheat because of us? No thank you. But I stuck it out because the writing was right there, it was in me and all around me. I was enveloped by her words. They’re poetic and lyrical. Hearing them spoken in an male pov made it so much better. I just can’t explain it without losing that impact. Without the constant reflection, and the inner dialogue, while Justice Drake narrates you would lose an important part of this story. It simply couldn’t be told any other way.
Her scent surrounds me, digging its way into my skin and hair…into me. She’s not only affecting me, she’s infecting me.
I wanted to be mad at Justice Drake and S.L. Jennings at the same time. I was frustrated with his thoughts, and equally frustrated with the path on which the author was leading us. I felt like I was missing important information at critical times and I was. No it doesn’t take away from the story. I’m just being greedy. I wanted it, no needed it to soothe my soul. I wanted to know immediately that all would be right in MY world and maybe Justices’. But she doesn’t give it easily, she makes us wait. We have to commit in order to be rewarded with all the pieces to the enigma that makes the Justice Drake puzzle. Trust me. Trust her. You won’t be disappointed.
To say that the man on the cover lived up to the fantasy in my head is an understatement. Had I known the journey I would have taken it long ago. I am so excited to have found a new author to chase and adore. I can’t wait to read more from S.L. Jennings.
I want to breathe. I want to inhale her in every way possible. I want her life to sustain me, her heartbeat to synchronize with mine.
