His heart broken, he was left to care for his young daughter.

He deserves a second chance.

Helena Kovac has spent years studying.
She has worked her ass off to get her degree.
She doesn't have time for love. Hell, she doesn't have time to mess around, even.
Books and work are her life. Everything else comes second. When Max and Helena join forces to help his daughter, Ceecee, they are shocked at the spark between them.

A cynic.
A workaholic.

Sometimes you don’t realize how hungry you are until you have a taste.  Suddenly you’re famished and you might even over indulge.
Man have I been missing Belle Aurora’s writing.
This was exactly what I needed.  Of course I just HAD to read it all in one sitting.  I couldn’t even savor it for the 5 star meal it was. See what I did there?
Belle Aurora brings back the gang we’ve all grown to love.  It all started with Friend-Zoned and Nik and Tina.  Then we got the love of my life’s story in Love Thy Neighbour, when we were treated to Asher and Natalie’s story.  It was only fitting that Sugar Rush be about Max and sweet little CeeCee, his daughter.  I’ll be honest, I wasn’t quite sure that Max could win over my heart.  I was *ahem* still am head over heels for Asher.  And Nik?  Oh my what shoes Max had to fill.  Well I’m here to tell you that he filled them.  Quite nicely.
There is nothing I appreciate more than a strong female protagonist.  Helena is just that.  She’s vibrant, witty, sassy, strong willed, and compassionate.  Max didn’t stand a chance and neither did CeeCee.  I think I had a smile on my face for the entire book.  There was nothing contrived, nothing forced.  The story flowed.  I had all my favorite characters on several pages, all together.  I got to watch Max and Helena find their way towards each other.  It was like being with family all over again.
I’m still smiling.  This is such a sweet, funny, sexy story.  It was everything I needed right now.  Everything I’ve been looking for.  I’m so glad to see Belle Aurora back!
